Dental Extractions

As a health-focused dental office, we strive to protect and maintain the health of all your teeth. Of course, dentistry is not always predictable. Occasionally, removing a troubled tooth might be the best option.

We take this recommendation seriously and will explore other options first, if any are available.

Conditions Requiring an Extraction

Certain dental conditions may mean that a dental extraction is the right choice for you, including:

  • Deep cracks or fractures
  • Infection
  • Pain
  • Deep decay
  • Significant trauma
  • Failed root canal treatment

We offer comfortable extractions in our Milwaukee, WI dental office. Our dentists have performed hundreds of dental extractions and will make sure that your procedure goes smoothly and your recovery is a success!

We use 3-D cone beam imaging that gives us a complete picture of your tooth, pinpoints its location in your bone, and allows us to determine if your extraction will have any complications. In some cases, we may opt to refer you to a specialist. We want what is best for you and your health.

Replacing Missing Teeth

A missing tooth affects more than just your smile. Missing teeth can cause bone loss and lead to additional tooth loss. Gaps in your smile can also make it difficult to speak and eat the way you would like.

At Bright Dental, we offer dental implants, fixed dental bridges, and dentures to replace missing teeth. We will go over the options that will work best for you.

Removing Wisdom Teeth

Wisdom teeth, also known as third molars, can be troublesome teeth because of their location at the back of your mouth. If they do not have enough room, they may push against your other teeth above or below your gumline, leading to pain in your face and jaw.

We will take an x-ray to evaluate the health of your wisdom teeth and determine whether they are likely to give you any complications. We use 3-D cone beam technology to get an accurate picture of your tooth, its roots, and your jawbone. This allows us to plan our surgery before we even begin, giving you a better overall experience.

If your wisdom teeth have plenty of room and do not cause problems, Dr. Rehman or Dr. Chandok will discuss how to care for them properly so you can avoid gum disease and decay.
